History

During the summer of 1997, a small painting company was created in the Muskoka region by two wide-eyed high school entrepreneurs. Will Morton and Steve Herzog embarked on a mission to build a successful business from the ground up. Thus, Cottage Maintenance was formed. Initial work began on Lake Muskoka, but has since expanded to Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau, as well as the surrounding area.

During the first three years of Cottage Maintenance’s existence, Steve and Will conducted all of the business’ operations, ranging from intensive labour to accounting practices. As the demand for their services grew, they began to incorporate their younger brothers into the business and hire additional employees.

As Cottage Maintenance's client base expanded, so too did the variety of services it offered. The business now specializes in painting (interior and exterior), landscaping, minor construction, spring clean-up and window washing.  New for 2005 are the variety of stonework services we now offer.

The summer work season of 2004 was marked by incredible growth for the Cottage Maintenance team. The business now employs about 20 individuals, all having gone through rigorous hiring and training procedures. The employees have been selected based on their level of motivation, performance, and previous experience.  We look forward to helping you!
